No difference. Now that the Clintons have devolved the convention into a soap opera, so O loses & she can run in 2012, McIdiot will be elected in November. America will then get the government it deserves: endless wars of choice, tax breaks for the wealthy, no health insurance, no morals, no ethics, torturers, war criminals, political hacks in Justice & FEMA, etc. McBush 3.0.
If Mcidiot wins we get what we deserve! I hope the Clinton voters wake up and smell the crap that the Republicans are dishing off right now! They are using the Clinton voters like a sleazy man would use a woman that just got dumped by a guy. He's going to use you and dump you like a rag doll.
please google Ray Nagin - there is a new station that has found issues related to Nagin and contracts in New Orleans. you blame Bush, but you haven't followed up on the real issue. it is the corrupt local government. right after Katrina there was an airing I believe on NPR that had a recording of Nagin with the state Governor and other officials, he refused to issue a state of emergency and ask people to evacuate. do you know how many lives could have been saved if he had not been ignorant? Check all your facts before slinging mud. Not to mention the issue of health insurance, time and time again is based on and not for all but most - people's priorities. They can afford the beer, cigarettes and lottery but not health insurance. They have to get big screen tv's but not insurance. They get cable and cell phones but not health insurance. People have grown up in a society feeling just a little to entitled... I think the credit card companies need MAJOR regulations - things should be done there to help people. They should not be permitted to fleece American's that use credit as a way of life. It shouldn't be a way of life either. I think there are things that should be taught in school to help people when they get out into the real world. But the schools are to busy having 1/2 days, teacher work days and days that they spend the majority of the day teaching the kids how to sell and raise money for the school. Some things just really aren't right.
Only someone who did not experience the Clinton years would say something so stupid.
The Kennedy's have dominated this party for almost 5 decades, and the Clinton's deserve every bit as much respect as they do.
Pres. Clinton was one of the greatest leaders of our country, leaving office with a large surplus, but on the other hand he tarnish what could have been a lasting legacy by what happen at the end. In part the Country owes a sense of gratitude to him for his steady financial hands at the wheel. As for Sen. Clinton she beat her self at her own game, she had the whole establishment behind her more money than what was needed at the time, yet through very bad advice she elected to for go active campaigning in most of the caucus states and as a result gave away early advantage to Sen Obama who has organize and run one of the most clean and effective race for the white house I have ever seen. On the other hand Sen. Clinton shoot her self several times in her own legs when she abandon civility and resort to bashing and name calling , dissing Se. Obama saying he was just a one speech guy, nothing could be further from the truth. Hillary Clinton supporters have done more to spread disunity in the democratic party than all of what has been done to date by hate mongers like Shaun Hannity and Rush Limbaugh put together. On the point of comparison between the Kennedy's and the Clinton's both families gave so much to this country, you draw the line.
Jenni its NOT MC BUSH! He has opposed Bush ON MANY issues why do you think the media fawned all over him back then becuase of thier hatred of BUSH. HE VOTED wih REPUBLICANS 78% NOT 95% LIKE DEMS ARE LIEING ABOUT ! GO CHECK fatcheck.org. Alos NO BAMA has proposed NO legislation and he has VOTED with DEMS 100% so who is more willing to work together? MC CAIN!!!
No Health Insurance? Get a job and pay for it, why is it the American people who need to support those who don't want to work? (And don't give me the sob story about people who 'can't' work. The welfare lines are full of people who are able bodied and just not willing to stop suckling the teats of the government).
I saw through michelle abama a long time ago.She is nothing but a phony""If obama wins i dont think he will last long.America is still very racist and i dont think america will accept a black man as president.Im sorry but its the way t is.I myself cant vote for him.His wife said she wasnt proud of her country and when someone says that,i would never cast a ballot for them. You will see when election time comes.McCain will win the election.
MMr.O
Wake up! Obama has really screwed you up. I am Clinton Democrat and I want you to tell me what about the Clintons do you resent.
I am now for McCain. I don't care where you put McCain, he is still better than Obama. Obama created himself. The day he came to Chicago, he already know what he wanted. Even the community organizer debacle, he took that job to learn ho to organize people for his political use. His past starts at the time he arrive from Chicago. Have you heard of any of the hundreds of organizers come to his defense. He presents himself as the President of the people but look at the company he keeps. The Democrats had the change to regain control of the White house 4 yrs ago but they messed it up. How could we have lost to Bush when he had the lowest rating and the people were calling him all the unimaginable names in the English language? How come Obama does not specify exactly what his foreign policy experience is. It's his association with Kenya. Anyway, do some homework. Have you read his two books? He wrote two memoirs to support his political ambitions.
Who is this MYSTERY MAN? Everything we know about him is what he tells us he is. But I did my homework. And I know him better than his supporters do. That is why I can not vote for him. For the first time in my life, I am voting Republican.
She is an asset because she is a strong, educated woman who can understand the challenges of balancing professional aspirations and motherhood in a way no male candidate ever could. I would vote for her even without Barack!
Oh, did I miss something? Is she running for president? You're right, though...with her, who needs Barack?
I am impressed and she is supportive and classy. Not the typical first lady we have ever seen but indeed this is not the typical race.
When Hillary was supportive of her husband, she was labeled permanently as a bitch. You know what "class" is? That is Hillary, leaving her domestic issues at home getting up after being knocked down repeatedly, facing her opponents and detractors with a smile, maintaining that dignity. But, well, this is really just a matter of opinion. You did not think Jackie had class? I am 60 yrs old and I have probably seen more first ladies than you have. You need to read Maya Angelou's poem but I guess you won't give anything pro-Hillary your time of day. I have read Obama's two books "Dreams From My Father" and the "Audacity of Hope" but I have difficulty reconciling what I read and what I see.
Fortunately or not, when Michelle speaks, people listen. Whether to really hear what she has to say or to turn it around. In fact, that's how it is with all spouses, Bill included. I don't think she'll measure her words and for that reason, I think she has the potential to harm Obama rather than help him.
I have so much high hopes for Michelle and her husband. She must turn around the minds of the "undecided" and the folks who say "if it's not Hillary, than I'm either voting for McSame, or I'm not voting at all". I can't tell you how much that scares me. What are they thinking?
Our poor broken-down country can not endure 4 more years of lies, blunders and missed opportunities. We need a different approach - let's give the Obamas a chance.
Yes, our country is broken-down but the Obamas benefit from it, don't they? I know who McCain is and I know What I am getting. I know Obama and he"s even scarier! But I bet you don't know who he really is. You are tired of lies? Obama started out with a "BANG" he is out to CHANGE Washington. In one of his speeches he even said it would be nice if all those old overstaying people in Washington should vacate their positions so a new wave of generation will have a chance. And who does he pull out to be his running mate? Biden, who has been in Washington since Obama was eleven years old. Obama has mastered the art of lying that he lies so smoothly and he uses humor to get out of it. I'd like him around as a friend, not to run this country. Because of what you call broken-down economy, I am now without a job and nobody would hire me because I have a lot of medical conditions that come with my age. Meanwhile, Obama now lives in a multi-million dollar home. Not too bad for them, huh? Obama learned to lie at an early age. In his book, Dreams from my Father (I have read Audacity of Hope, too) where he said that he had to make up stories about his father (whom he barely know). What makes him above the other candidates is because the DNC had protected him and packaged him and of course there was the media adulation. And, of course, there is the support of Hollywood. Did you hear him say his uncle was in WWII and he helped save the prisoners at Auschwitz? This is a Capitalist nation and unless Obama becomes the head of this nation and turn it into a Socialist country, there will be the rich and the poor. Everybody has a chance to become rich. The press had a picnic when McCain had a misstatement and said Pakistan bordered with Iraq? But was there any media coverage of Obama when he said that we should send some of our Arabic translators to Afghanistan because they are needed there? Afghans do not speak Arabic!! They speak Pushtu and Farsi (Does he even know which other country speaks Farsi? Or has he heard of this language before?). Did you hear him answer question posed at him at that Saddleback townhall? This is just the tip of the iceberg. But I won't do your homework for you. I graduated from the University of Hawaii and did a Practicum at Punahuo School where he went to. I AM THINKING that is why I can not vote for Obama. Maybe you should start thinking, too. All I know is just to do some research and get to know him better. You know, like we did in school. We have to read the book before we can write a synopsis or a review.
She is a great role model for all women seeking independence, motherhood and professionalism. I find it hard to believe that any woman would vote for McCain whose first wife was a model and whose second wife was a cheerleader. It speaks to the candidate's character.
She helps. Both she and Barack have lived the American Dream that Grandpa Simpson and the Republicans like to talk about. But when people like the Obamas fulfill the "dream," the Republicans are always there to tear them down.
Michelle Obama needs to convince voters that she is a normal soccer mom next door concerned about her children's future. She needs to come off humble, loving and patriotic.
I find her crass and abrasive. Anyone who has not been proud to live in this country until now, should have left long ago. There is still time to pack up and get out!
I am the same age as the Obamas and I knew exactly what she meant. We grew up watching riots in the streets and people coming back from Vietnam in body bags. We stayed up at night watching the Watergate hearings and spent our adult lives watching politicians pillage our country and lie to our faces....and the American people voted them into power over and over.
Only 25% of Americans vote. To see people flocking to the polls in unprecedented numbers to try to get their country out of the horrible situation that this administration has put us in was very moving. For the first time in our lives we were seeing the people of our Country mobilize to try to do the right thing for their fellow citizens.
For the first time in my adult live I was also proud of my Country...until the GOP twisted the words of a good woman and millions of fools followed suit like a bunch of goats.
Tell me something ELSNC: How do you vote against your own economic well being over and over??
Try being Black living in this country back then, the way they were treated, put yourself in her shoe then think.
try being white in this country, working and raising kids and taking care of everyone else who is not working or raising their own kids!
becesue, are you living in some alternate universe where no white people are on welfare and black people don't have to pay taxes?
And when Michelle said every child deserves a world class education she was not racially segregating our most important citizens. She meant what she said, every child.
Have you even attempted to obtain financial aid for your children? Guess what? Being black isn't a requirement. I was a married white woman when I received financial aid.
You know what kills me about the racist middle class white people? They complain that only black people get money for college yet they are too proud to even ask for help.
Your ignorance is just supreme.
ELSNC I would like to know are you proud of the slavery that took place in America? Are you proud that we had to have the civil rights movement? Are you proud of the Dred Scott decision? Are you proud of the Little Rock Nine? Are you proud of the injustice that takes place towards women through out the country? Are you proud of the children that starve themselves to sleep at night because their mother makes minimum wage? Are you proud of the people who make straight A's all through out high school but still can't quite earn enough to go to college? Are you proud of the children who have an inadequate education? Are you proud of our poor health care system? Are you proud that hispanics and minorities are only paid attention to on election years? Are you proud of the hate and anger that takes place all through out the United States because if you are then I have to say that you are the one that is un-American. Michelle Obama is as Maya Angelou says "the dream and the hope of the slave." The American Dream for many Americans is the American Nightmare. Maybe the problem is that enough American's aren't angry enough and they are content with having more of the same failed policies.
Wow that is a lot of questions. Slavery happened in this country. Yes. Who said slavery is such a bad thing. Sure like anything else it can be abused. News flash. Blacks were not the only slaves in history. When one talks about injustices, poor education, poor health care, and all of these other issues they seem to put it as it only happens to one group of people. Depending on which group they happen to belong to. There are a lot of bad things in this country everyday. People better wake up to what the real problems are and get away from all of this race and hatred going on. The biggest problem is everyone is out for SELF. Sure they say they are out for everyone. Then they say "our ethnic group is more spurned than the others". Most everyone in this country wants something for nothing it seems. No one wants to work for it. Someone told me something a long time ago. " THIS WORLD AND NO ONE IN IT OWES YOU NOTHING". Apply that to your life. Be satisfied with what you have and quit trying to better up the Jones. Life is not a bad thing after all. And folks. It doesn't matter who gets elected. This country is falling fast. Attitude is killing it. Only thing this vote is good for is how fast it will fall over the next four years.
i just can't wrap my brain around the FACT that this guy "Obama," a black man, is in bed with planned parenthood..abortionist and those who support them have targeted black people specifically(it's founder was a racist who called black people weeds that needed to be killed)..abortions have killed more black children than the KKK or any other hate group known to man..yet Obama takes their money and endorsements with pride.
wake up people!!

CAN YOU ALL PLEASE GET THE QUOTE BY MRS. OBAMA RIGHT!!?? She said that for the first time in her adult lifetime she is "REALLY" proud of her country. She never said that she was "proud" of her country for the first time---but that she was "really proud." This makes a difference in how you interpret her quote. She was also talking about how proud she was of the political process that was taking place during the primaries and how people were voting in record-breaking numbers! GET IT RIGHT AMERICA and stop bashing this woman for no reason.
THAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH US---Americans---we always are quick to judge and assume without knowing the total truth. Research and find out the truth for yourself! The media is not always right in how they present the message. Oftentimes they deliberately will put a "spin" or "twist" on something, just to give people something to talk about. GET SMART! (And I am not talking about the movie).
Sincerely,
A truly angry black woman
would never vote for him soon to be x democart will vote mccain .and any thang she has say does not matter or joe ...............................
Please repeat..take your time...grammar, punctuation and spelling help when you want to convey an opinion, even a brainless one.
She can only hurt him. Every time she has opened her mouth she has. A really unwise move by the DNC.
Then you haven't listened to her. You've listen to the RNC spin her. Michelle is a great person, you just have to take the time to learn about her and listen to her. Don't judge on RNC's spin of her. They are trying to make a wonderful woman a monster. She is not! She is an inspiration to this white woman!
She fresh and exciting! I love the thought of her and her daughters in the Whitehouse. CLASS ALL THE WAY!
Like some of the other comments, I too find both the Obamas crass, abrasive and very self centered like they are the saviours; which they are not!!! I think that if he gets elected he will plung this country into the worst situation it has ever been in, in history!! He has absolutely no experience, political or otherwise. If people will remember his comments when asked about this; He plans to appoint advisors to direct him!!! A leader , leads!!! He dosen't follow advisors. Is he planning to be just a "Figure Head"???Who will his advisors be Jesse Jackson and his type.?? You know, it's kind of funny, because I have many friends of color including my next door neighbors and, they feel the same way I do.
It is already in the worse situation than it has ever been in. This administration has already being called the most corrupt administration in U.S. history.
"No experience" is a political smear, not a reality. It's target is people like yourself that can not think. Obama not only has a brain, but he has compassion for his fellow Americans and will not pillage the country.
And you're a liar about having many "friends of color' Rick. First of all anyone can tell by your writings that you're a racist. And 98% of the blacks live in North Las Vegas, not in you neighborhood.
" He plans to appoint advisers to direct him."
You pulled that right out of the top of your empty head. ALL presidents surround themselves by advisers...the key derivative there is "advise". They do not appoint directors to direct them.
...and I am sure you "have many friends of color."
Sure you have lots of "colored" friends and they agree with you. Just like a racist is afraid to say they will never vote for a black man to the pollsters, yet vote for the white man behind the curtain - I say your "colored" friends say one thing to you and keep their true feelings to themselves. After all it's not their job to enlighten someone like you.
As for being the worst thing to happen to this country - take a look around. The country is bleeding. Aren't you tired of trusting the company to bottom of the class legacies like Bush and McBush? Obviously not, because you want a President that doesn't listen to anyone but just makes up his own mind. IF you vote for McBush you got a guy who finished 885 out of 889. Yeah, that' the guy YOU want leading the country.
That will be the 2nd dumba** white boy running the country in a row. I have lots of white friends including my neighbors and they all agree with me - McCain is a duck.
Hi Rick,
I will try to be a little less blunt. Think of the organization of the White House and the presidency. The job comes with a staff of more than 2,000 employees. Those that are closest to the president are his advisers, chiefs along with the VP. There are some decisions the President may make independently however, the president IS surrounded by many specific figure heads that help to advise on the presidents "final" decision making. All of those choices being made in the overall best interest of our country. In short, the President never really stood alone from the Oval office.
Think of John F. Kennedy that made his own brother, Robert F. Kennedy, a strategic member of his staff which later became one of the most moral and influential advisers to his brother, the President. I think your expectations may be becoming a bit unrealistic to the functioning of the Presidency. Also, I am finding that many people in our society has become so caught up in this historical event that they don't realize many of their unrealistic and nontraditional views and thoughts are being hashed up to find fault with Barack Obama as a candidate. Ease your heels back down to earth and realize that through out most ALL of our years of having a president in this country, that job has come along with advisers...
Every president since George Washington has had "advisors". They are called the "Cabinet" Have you aver taken a government class. For one to be a true leader amd make well thought out decisions they must be able to look at and listen to all sides of a situation before they lead those around them with a decision. Just because George only listened to Dick 98% time, doesn't mean that he was good leader. Obviously he wasn't!!! We are now worse off as a country, then we were during the great depression. Research it... it's the truth!!!
She's intelligent, comes from a middle class background, a working mother and we don't see her standing behind her husband at every event like a "trophy wife".
I can't wait to Cindy McCain to make a speech. She just stands there like a "Stepford Wife".
Cindy McCain is true class! Michelle Obama is very abrasive & truly does exude that angry black woman persona.
She's very strong and bodes well for the Obama Campaign in the increasingly important role of the first lady. She will also be important in getting the true message across about Barack and how he WORKED his way to prominance....they are an example of the ultimate American story. It is shameful to see how McCain has slandered this public servant.
strident, ugly, overbearing...other than that your normal goofy looking politician's wife
She will make a terrific first lady. With her grace she is a copy of Jackie kennedy.
Ah - since she has been absent any ideation that indeed our country has existed and indeed FLOURISHED without the input of her totally inexperienced (to date) husband I see no relevance to even paying attention to a wife, a spouse, a truly "special interest", who will only do, say and promote that which will enhance her "special" husband's abilities in this election phase. Most Americans see any and/or all of this parading around at this juncture in the election process to be only a shell game.
This is no shell game however. This is the future of the country. Soooo in my opinion both Michelle and Barack Obama need to come back in four years of eight, and we'll perhaps listen and judge all that Barack Obama has TRULY accomplished in national politics (and in working for four years of eight in proven a fashion with bipartisan members of the U.S. Congress) - in regard to actually completing a singular term of office (or two at the very least) representing the good people of Illinois, humbling himself and earning the right to then and only then seek first re-election to the office of U.S. Senator before presuming he is ready and able to RUN THE ENTIRE COUNRTY.
African American couple work hard and become President and first Lady of the United States. I LOVE THIS COUNTRY!!!
The whole family is made up of beautiful beings both inside and out.

She makes no difference. Now that the Clintons have turned the convention into a soap opera, so she can run in 2012, McIdiot may win. Horro
