As for Hilary, I believe she made a wonderful speech. I did not necessarily agree with all of it, nor do I agree completely with the republican party. I might have considered voting democrat if Hilary had been nominated, but I can not vote for Barack Obama. I believe him to be a wolf in sheep's clothing, and I am entitled to my opinion.

McCain had many talented and experienced women in the GOP he could have selected. Maine has two fine GOP senators, also Dole, Whitman, Condi Rice. I could name others. It seems this reflects his tendency to make snap decisions and then stick with them no matter what. I think many independent minded people can agree that is one of Bush's failings as a leader: 'I'm right no matter what.' Obama made a mature and considered decision in Biden, and he wasn't afraid to pick someone who might appear more experienced. McCain acted rashly and now that things aren't working out - he's stuck. I don't think we had a woman governor in 1952. I think all people really need to think about the facts and records of this administration and what Governor Palin's accomplishments really are. The Democrat rhetoric of a broken gloomy America is not born out in the facts just published by the US census bureau. Do you vote on the faulty assumptions of Democrat rhetoric and media bias or do you investigate the true state of the nation and know the principles for which you are voting? Republican principles support the value of individuals and their freedom. Democrat principles support the power of government to redistribute wealth which gives those in government the power to buy votes as the politicians decide who gets what.

Women, like all other human beings, will do what they believe to be in their best interest. Some women, who believe as Palin does, may vote for McCain because she is there.
