We need to stop watching what the media and the way they think. They have to much control on what we are supposed to think!
Before we know it there will be a National ID card, the Amero will be introduced, and mandatory computer chip implants. WTF!
OMG!! The election is over!! Get over it and let's move on to better our country. Put your ignorance, hatred and racism back in the closet where it belongs. Better yet, how about throwing it in the dust bin where it belongs. We can't move forward if we continue to LIVE backwards!! We the people have given the "good ole boys" there chance, now let's see what the other side has to offer?? Hmmmm!!! Remember this is a democracy not a monarchy, if he doesn't produce what he promises, there is always 2012 to try again!
A year ago, national security was the hot button political issue, now it’s the economy. However, one of our choices doesn’t have a clue and the other one is simply wrong.
The biggest issue is if we are going to allow our freedoms to be subjected to a few fear mongers who would like to convince us that we need to be protected.I personally can protect myself. It is the truth of freedom that some will attempt to take our freedoms away for their own agenda.I am soory that so many died in the twin towers but the fact is we are no safer now than we were before 911.I for one am not willing to trade my freedom for a fleeting attempt at protection from"WHAT"Ben Franklin stated"those who would trade a little freedom for a little safety will deserve niether and lose both"we are not any "safer"and yet we are now even closer to tyrrany than ever before.OBAMA yeah!!!!!
American Revolution, Civil War, WWII have 70 year cycles. Choose you're anniversary, but they're all coming round! We require flexibility and Unity to face what's coming. With all respect to Sen. McCain, I don't believe he can adapt to meet the challenges that await the next President. The coming years will require more than the sacrifice of 6% yields. Pressure is building all around the World, and it will burst into our lives in the next decade. The economy is only a gauge of how we all are suffering. Around the world, millions will suffer and die without Leadership, and millions may die with it.
I agree about the above, but when are we going to start taking care of us? We give money to people who will not work. We give money to other countries. We do not give enough to the people who took care of us!!
It's not just about our economy, it's about all the wrong George Bush done and how we are going to fix it. Bush ruined this country and doesn't care one bit. Obama is going to fix our economy and bring our troops home, because they don't belong there.
obama and his theme of wealth distribution will destroy the american economy. anyone was even a most basis understanding of the economy and how it works and prospers would know this.
There is no wealth to distribute, so I wouldn't worry too much about it!
Are we electing a President or a Economist there are so many things to worry about not just the economy , health, schools, environment, social security, …………etc,
The US economy, and more importantly it's citizens, are very resilient and will rebound regardless of who is president. I believe that core values are more important as they tell more about the candidate and how they will lead than some economic plan that will never pass without major modification and added pork. As far as the troops, I would love to see our troops come home as soon as possible, but only when the war is won and the job is finished so we dont have to send another generation of soldiers back over there to finish the job or worse yet, fight here on our own turf.
See we elect a president, then we expecting miracles to happen and when they don’t we start blaming, here is the question how can you please everyone stop blaming on your President. I was at ground zero in NYC search and rescue team, and I am all for peace , there are no words to describe that scene, for all those of you blaming the war here is the question , What decision you would take after 911. And now we blaming? Please think about the war when you pumping gas in your car, and when you do your food shopping, because all you buy has arrive at the supermarket on the road with the help of OIL.
We all love PEACE, that is the reason those people are out there giving them life for us do we realize that ? GOD BLEASE ALL
W e need to stay out wars that have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE US! AT SAME TIME KEEP OUR MILITARY WELL TRAINED.thank for voting
The economy is not something that can be fixed by any administration. We have a free market economy which means it will rise and fall based on factors outside of Washington's control. Do you really want an economy that can be manipulated by a bunch of lifetime beaurocrats? I sure don't. Neither candidate can "fix" the economy. Their parties can barely pass helpful economic legislation. Their only control is how much money they take out of your pocket through taxation and redistribute to get re-elected. I personally don't like the government taking my money and deciding who is "needy" in this country. I donate to those charities that I beleive are most effective at helping the truly needy, not a bunch of people who believe they are entitled to be taken care of just because they are American.
I am amazed that so many people actually think that the economy is related to who is president.when you look back at past elections you can see that the economy seems to slump at every presidential election. The economy is tied to elections probly because of the world wide nature of the american economy and other nations see the election as a unknown but as soon as the new president is sworn in the economy recovers(thus economy is not tied to who is elected but just that the fact the election is finished and the power transfer is smooth. The american people are so subject to what they see on tv that we seldom actually remember the recent past experiences of the same nature.Wake up sheep and start acting like the intelligent humans we hope that you could be if only you would think for yourself

No wonder others think America is godless and greedy. The deaths of over 1,000,000 Iraqis don't count? Millions of uninsured Americans don't count? Impeaching the war criminal isn't on more important than the economy? Holding him accountable for all his crimes against humanity (include his mismanagement of the economy if you must) isn't a priority? The leaders getting away with mass murder sends what message to the youth of today? You might as well teach Machiavelli in school if you're happy with that scenario!
Dear God, it's sad! I'm tired of living is this amoral abyss. Someone save me from this nightmare!
The economy is certainly an important issue. However, there are more issues out there. Whatever your view on George Bush, we have unresolved issues that the new president must deal with. Whatever those are, however big or small, they must be resolved first. How can we, the US, take on more when were are already overburdened. All the current issues that are half solved and incomplete must come first. Another important issue is security, one that could be resolved as the smaller issues are resolved. Build a strong foundation now, look to the future after.
True, thats why it was a such a big mistake to vote in the Democrats, they have no clue on how to cut costs in the government. And without that knowledge, there is more waste and higher taxes will eventually result. Lets hope the Democratic congress and the majority is kicked out in the mid term elections as it is going to take cost cutting and modesty in government to fix the mess the country is now in. Raising taxes is the absolute worst thing the government can do, and once again the middle class will get fleeced.
Finding modesty in the US government is a difficult task. Moreover, Republicans are not infallible. There are some modest Democrats and some modest Republicans. What matters is finding the incompetents in our government and voting them out. Cutting costs is a good possible solution. You can't send what you don't have. But that solution works both ways. If the government can come part way, by reducing federal expenses, then the people must be willing to pay a little more. It is the quickest way to a solution and helps stabilize the situation for future development. But those taxes must be staggered in respect to income. With decent Congressional delegates, a tighter budget with more suitable taxes and a president willing to work in his office the US can repair itself and move into the future.
Doonesbury said it better: for 12 years my country has acted like late Imperial Rome. So we are near terminal on the environment, foreign relations and the economy. Obama, and hopefully 60-67 Senators, are the medic. Note, in the strip, all the plumes are gone and the helmet is battered.
Economy wise we must do what got us here. Employers/employees must PAY TAXES. OMG!DID I just say TAXES??. IT's what got us here. Taxes are not BAD if used properly. We will become strong again by funding our treasury! Yes! First pay all "TIPPED personal a living wage. How many have we just put money in their pockets?.. a few tens a millions??. Secondarly pay all immigrates a living wage, stop paying them under the table so they can do WHAT?? ... yes pay taxes..fund our treasury!!. employers AND employee PAY Social Security, Withholding, Fica etc.. FUND OUR TREASURY. We are promoting GAMBLING sites to fill the needs of local issues. Isn't that PATHETIC!! Think about it. WHAT GOT US HERE.??? Look around America. Look what taxes gave us. Need to know more ..please ask!!
Economy was definitely a BIG part of this election .... But over-all I believe most Americans a just tired of the greed and favortism the last 4 years of Republican Policies have had on this Great Nation .... Time to bring back the middle-class .... and .... end the war.
Economy should be the biggest issue. What does war have to do anything? War does not bring hope and prosperity to the world. It is the economy. Why do we need to win? It doesnt make any sense. We were the cause of all this and yet, we still havent found weapons of mass destruction and link to 9/11. We dont even know why we are in Iraq in the first place. We are spending so much money overseas with the war when we should be spending the money here, at home. I believe we ALL should break down our security on the country. Its plain and simple, if we dont cause havoc to other countries, no problem will come to us. Its that simple. McCain talks about "ENEMIES" and Standing up to "OTHER FORCES." There are no enemies. At this day of age, we should be bringing everyone together of all colors and ethnicity. It's not "i will protect america." It should be "I will protect the world." We should be treating everybody of all ethinicity and color as if we are all brothers and sisters. That is what we need to bring to the table, and i believe OBAMA will do it. I cant believe we are still thinking about this when we are the head of the world. We should be role models to our children and people of all around the world.
