I think it's unlikely that you ever have read the Wall Street Journal or watched the Lehrer News Hours (and I'm only giving these as two examples of other sources of news for you, there are many other good sources out there).

You can find some answers at Factcheck.org.  You can even ask them your questions.  I don't understand why you are so ready to believe all the nonsense you write, but refuse to find out or believe the truth.  Where do you get your ideas? 

Let's pretend that you are running for a high public office.  Let's see how you would feel if someone, for whatever reason, did not want you to win and started sending viral emails about you claiming that you were not really born in the U.S. but in Yeman, a Muslim country, and stating that you are a Muslim, (which really is no sin), and believing that the birth certificate you submitted as proof of your American birth was a fake.  Let's pretend that your spouse is accused of hating America for making a comment that was taken out of context.  Then someone starts rumors or fakes photos and video of you stating that you want to change the flag and the National Anthem!  And that you have ties to terrorrists and plan to turn the U.S. into a Muslim country! What if some people thought, "OMG!  It MUST BE TRUE!  I read it on the inter-net somewhere, in an email sent by a trusted friend, and heard it at church!"  Now you must try to prove to these people that these things are untrue.  But in spite of all your repeated efforts, some people just refuse to believe you!  They just keep asking, "But what about...?"  And no amount of explaining can make these people see the truth.  Never mind that the real answers to all these questions are everywhere.  These people just seem determined to believe the lies.  WHY?  What more can you do?

Also, no way do I see Palin as serving the Lord and this country with a "servant's heart."  But I do see her serving herself (and her family) to plenty of "heaping helpings" of expensive clothing and jewelery, not paid for by herself, but by the donations made to the McCain campaign.  Money spent illegally since the RNC does not allow campaign funds to be allocated for clothing allowances.  And an allowance of more than $150,000.00!  Much more than the average income of most Americans!  How is this serving the Lord?  This is very much serving herself!!  Seriously, is this what Jesus would do - spend an altogether offensive amount of other peoples money on altogether outrageously overpriced clothes for himself?!!?  And how about that back stabbing?  Looking out for her own political career even at the expense of her running mate?    Same question: is this what Jesus would do?  But, we are to believe what she says over what she does.  Or maybe we should re-read the book of James, Chapters 2 and 3.  Religious fanatics misinterpret the Bible all the time.  I think this explains that witch doctor thing.  Maybe Palin should be out shooting snakes instead of moose.

Obama is no anti-Christ, he's simply a man.  He just doesn't look like you and has had different life experiences than you.  And I'm certain that you share many of the same life experiences.  He's lost loved ones, works hard, and loves his family and country.  Ask yourself, "What if he turns out to be one of the best presidents we've ever had?"

In order to get and classified briefing as all POTUS candidates do you have to go through security clearance. I have news for you, Palin does not give $1200.00 checks out because of the oil.  State law has been doing that for much longer than she has been in office.  Check your facts before you shoot your mouth off.

As a woman, I was totally embarrassed and very angry when Palin was selected as McCain's vp. Her first speech introducing herself to the nation and world was horrid. She came across as a sarcastic, insulting, offensive witch. Wouldn't someone who is a complete unknown begin amiably then ramp it up during the campaign? I think McCain's idiot campaign managers are partly responsible for this.

Secondly, the fact that she could be an alternate for Hillary was complete nonsense. You cannot simply substitute one woman for another; the experience, knowledge, ability to speak well constructed sentences at a normal rate and tone, appearance and stature, et. al. has great meaning and significance. We do not need "folksy" and cute; we need readiness and ability. I was very put off by her winking during the VP debate and her lack of knowledge and experience to draw upon when she had an opportunity to respond to Biden's remarks. Her answers were all planned and memorized. 

Thirdly, I raised my 4 daughters - now ages 19 to 26 (all went/are in college not that college is the only souce of education) - instilling in them the importance of a good education and being well spoken, and that these are needed to succeed or be taken seriously in any job/career. They acknowledged mom was right and that Sara Palin is an example of a woman unprepared and uninformed.   

Fourthly, I have very little respect for Palin since she constantly gave her speeches repeating lies; lies that were proven to be lies over and over again. She showed no qualms at doing this or any remorse. I could never vote for someone like that. Yes, in campaigns there are falsehoods and exaggerations, but this was different. She just outright lied and seemed gleeful in doing so.

Lastly, I was concerned for her children. Having 4 of my own, I know how difficult it was (and still is) to handle everything that needed to be handled when they were young from school to friends to outside activities. Being a hands on mom and just working part time is/was difficult enough. I felt sorry for moms who had to work full time. But in Palin's case with being governor and then thinking of being vp for the nation - how does a mom manage? It is easy for Palin to bring her baby into work - her office; but a mom working at Walmart or a doctor's office or a school cannot do that. It's fine if Todd, her husband, is a stay at home dad, but it appears he's involved (too involved) in Palin's job and at the office, too.  So who's minding the kids?

I have nothing against any woman who is ambitious and wants to "make it" in politics, business, or any other tough field. But don't paint yourself as a typical mom because one can't be. Sacrifices are made; games, birthdays, and school affairs are missed; one can't be two places at once and everything to everybody.

I think Palin got what she deserved in the media, too. When you put yourself out in public, expect to be scrutinized (as anybody should expect nowadays ) just like Clinton, Obama, Romney, and Joe the plumber were . When you put yourself out in public, be prepared to have the media jump on every little detail of your life. She hurt herself with "Troopergate." Yes, I'll cooperate then no, I won't. Circumventing government business using outside e-mails wasn't very smart. Allowing her husband, "a civilian," to roam the halls of government acting with unearned authority isn't very bright either. Get a life, Todd! Can't name a magazine or newspaper you read? Then the campaign says that's a "gotcha" question? Please.

The conservative base didn't help either.  If Chelsea Clinton was pregnant, the right wing nut jobs would happily be calling the Clintons horrible parents and Chelsea the result of a liberal upbringing. But in Palin's daughter's case, her out of wedlock pregnancy is okay because the daughter is going to marry the father - who quit high school! Great job at making sure you can be a good provider for your soon to be family, Levi!!!

The so-called "real America" that is being shown to the world is nothing like what our founding fathers intended for this once great nation.  I will respect the authority of our President, simply because he is the president; however, I do believe that our country has made the biggest mistake in history by electing the most liberal person ever to be involved in American government.  If people think that he will be able to unite the parties when his record shows everything to the contrary, they are sadly mistaken.

Ms Palin claims to represent "the real America"...is that the one which most closely resembles her home "riding"..Alaska, with 70% of the population being white and 3% of the poulation being black?

Palin, wasn't and will never be prepared for presidency of the U.S.  She's more like Bush, and McCain, she didn't pay attention in school and it shows loudly.  Not the sharpest tool in the shed.  I particulary didn't like the controversy campaign that McCain/Palin ran, incitement to riot dividing Americans even more.  Not being open minded, never talked about the issues.  Being a Big Female Bully just isn't the way too go in my view. 

I've been called a very handsome man by many....and Sarah Palin is the last women I'd be interested in. Not only is she a loose cannon, she's bordering on lunacy...I don't find her, her mind, or her family attractive...well...maybe they are to some...but not me...I'd want a woman who could name a newspaper she read...just 1 is all I'd ask for...I'd also want someone who would not try to convince me that because she can "see Russia"...(but I'll just bet she can't) from her house...how that makes her experienced in foreign affairs....hell I can see the moon from my house...does that make me an astronaut?...I think not....and so ladies and gentlemen of the jury...I rest my case....

I wouldn't have voted for her to be dog-catcher, I wouldn't date her, and once she opened her mouth to speak I'd be running as fast and as far as my legs could take me away from her. I prefer women who know that Africa's a continent, who understand that the Vice President is not "in charge of" the Senate and why, and who would have the sense to learn about one or two Supreme Court rulings before presuming to seek the second highest office in the land.

It's in videos all over the internet, the actual Palin and the actual words. Couric asked for further explanation of Palin's "foreign policy expertise," and Palin only made it worse. It would have been better for her if she had stopped with "we can see Russia from Alaska".

Dear Carboy,  I'm pretty knowledgable about bullet proof vests.  Those clothes she wore had split backs.  She had to have something to fit over the vests & sorta hide it that she was wearing one.  She knows a lot about these sort of things too, especially since she is the Commander & Chief of the National Guard unit that is guarding the Nuc.'s in her state.  She has the highest security clearance of all the Gov.'s & senators....the next highest would be the VP & then President. She frequently fies to Homeland Security to be filled in on terrorism.  I love how she joins in with the guard unit & learns about all the weapons.  She is top's in my book!!!

Education level should be a huge factor for this particular office.  Being president of the US requires serious cognitive training and the ability to systematically solve emense problems, organize and manage diverse groups of people and engage multicultural leaders from around the globe.  This person should be well versed in the classics as well as an expert on the contsitution, legal system, financial system, micro and macro economics, geopraphy as well as knowing political and world history.  And it wouldn't hurt if they had the sense of accomplishment  and connection only achieved through successful completion of an organized and accredited education... for starters.   POTUS is not a job for the common man or woman, it's for the exceptional.

Also, the American people didn't vote against Senator McCain they voted for Senator Obama.  There's a  big difference.

I know how much of the losses you were forced to absorb without a vote, I'm curious as to how much of the gains were shared with you? So far, I've only been handed losses. That Socialist-style "stimulus package" didn't quite compensate for the dramatic drop in the dollar's value. (If $100K is suddenly only worth $83K, giving me $300 doesn't really change much.)

My point being, we are already using the worst form of Socialism in the free world. Like I said, socializing the losses and privatizing the gains.

The Iraq war is illegal because it violates International Law.

We may not like the reality of what is required under that Law, a country must be attacked or invaded before they declare war upon another country.

Iraq had not attacked the US nor invaded the US.  And as it turns out - gee - guess what they didn't have any weapon's of mass destruction either.  And guess what else?  Our own intelligence (CIA) had let our President and VP know that this was most likely the case as well.

But guess what country does have plenty of WMD's?  The US.  Unfortunately, the US has set a dangerous precedent (that means rule - derived from judgement or action) that a country can invade another just because they fear what they will do with their WMD's.

Anyone else feel the fear here?  Look at where Russia's politics are going - and we have set up this precedent that you can attack another country if you are afraid of them - or their weapons.

Any lawyer could tell you the war in Iraq was illegal - that was why I didn't vote for Hillary - she knew better - but made the political decision. 

International law is followed because countries realize they need some basic form of order in the world to  avoid some of the great tragedies such as WWI and WWII not to mention the various wars between kingdoms prior to our countries existence.

Do the terrorists, who incidentally set the game & the rules up, follow that law?? Should any country follow it if it comprimises national security?? Absolutely not! International Laws are set for the benefit of mankind, assuming the players are just.  Terrorists are neither just or honorable, being a cowardly lot.  This is a match they want to play, we need to stoop (unfortunately) to their level in order to protect OUR national interests. 

Lastly, if Bush didn't play the waiting game with the UN (because of International Law), maybe the outcome would have been different now, both abroad and here at home (Obama as President??--despicable!)

Yes, Palin made a few mistakes while being cross examined, by Katie and others, instead of just being interviewed. Would have been nice is she was treated like your pretty boy was.
